So, 22 1/2 hours of driving straight later, and I am now comfortably sitting in a King size bed in Wisconsin watching t.v. I think I may permenantly be shaped like the seat of my car, but with Gus and my family's phone calls every few hours, and Jello's offer of toothpicks, I survived quite nicely. Of course, there was a lot of caffeine in there also and spitz!!

I now have to make the hard decision of whether to sleep straight or sideways on the king size bed!!

so tonight, I plan on leaving Medicine Hat to head back to Ontario. I've been working on some plans to make the drive more interesting....such as, eating a whole bag of spitz, picking up random hitchhikers, learning to drive with my feet, seeing how long I can close my eyes and drive (I think that will work best in SK), using toothpicks to prop open my eyes, and so forth. Actually, I may be kidding abou those things, I decided to be responsible and only eat spitz until my mouth turned into a prune, and I am listening to smart people CD's on the way down (CD's on Churchill, six best speeches ever delivered and so forth).

All that to say, the last seven months have flown by. I can't believe that I am actually leaving already. I don't think it's hit me yet, but I am sure I will have time to contemplate that over 34 hours:)

It has beeen great down here, moving to Alberta will always stand out as one of the best things I have ever done in my life!!

I randomly decided to buy cuff links. This thought was started because I happen to think guys wearing cuff links looks really good.....and then I thought to myself, "I've never seen a girl wearing cuff links", so I decided to buy some. I got some pretty awesome silver ones with black centers. I think I may have to buy a guys shirt and have it taliored so I can wear them, since girl shirts tend to not have the proper cuffs for the links to go through. But, I'm pretty excited about it - I mean, it's one step closer to wearing a tux!

On another note, tonight is the first night I have been home for like a month - I celebrated by packing some of my stuff and making myself some real food. Wednesday is the day of departure right now, that's if I do not lose my sanity before then:)

It is with heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes that we acknowledge the sound of the buzzer in the distance, and the score across the screen, which reads 3-1. Whispers of "We'll get them next year" and "It just wasn't our day" float through the air from sober face to sober face. Edmonton bites the dust, and Canada is left with swifter's in hand trying to recover from a brutal win by Carolina.

You would think that a 5 on 3 advantage would have earned a goal or two, instead we earned a penalty, much to the dismay of fans all across Canada. Timbit hockey seems to best describe the event that took place. Almost as if these mighty hockey players needed an internal support system everytime they touched the puck.

Once again, Stanley Cup dreams are put on the shelf for next year, and pom poms are put in their boxes.

We'll get them next year!

I confirmed my apartment in London just recently, and somehow that seems to finalize things in my head. It's under three weeks right now, before I pack the last of my boxes into my car and head out down the highway towards "home". Strange how seven months can pass so quickly. It seems like just yesterday that I pulled into town in my little Honda ready for an adventure, and unsure of how the time was going to affect me.

I have grown, you may not see it directly, but I have. I realize this most when the storms hit, and I am able to weather them.

It's going to be really tough leaving, this place has been an oasis. I have met so many neat people, experienced so many awesome things, and been stretched in ways I never imagined. Alberta will always be a great memory perserved in my mind!

I discovered one of the best ways to spend a weekend....it's called a roadtrip, with some of your best friends. I have not laughed so hard for way to long. It all started with Nicole, Jelea and I decided to take off and head out to Jelea's family's ranch and condo in Regina for the weekend. We chopped our hair, ate spitz till our mouths puckered up (and I am getting faster Josh:), took lots of pictures, had the world's best milkshakes, met a moose, ate some awesome breakfast, had Jelea show us how to get off a haybale (if you need pointers, you should ask her - she's pro), went to the farm - city chicks and a farm - produces interesting, and laughed till Jelea almost had an accident in her pants, like 10 times.

You should check out my flickr account, cause a picture is a thousand words or something.

Wish you guys could of all had such an awesome weekend........the best of times!

It was a 13 hour day at work today, and it's looking like that is going to be my life for the next month, along with working Saturday's. I must say if I am ever working at a place and they say they are thinking of moving, I might go on a holiday until they are done:) But, being busy is a positive thing - keeps me out of trouble or something!

Also, I found out this week that there are rattle snakes here, and bull snakes. And they crawl around everywhere (see my flickr account) - I almost had a heart attack. Then wondered what kind of friends I have down here that they didn't warn me:)

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)

(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

My sister came down for almost a week, and just left this morning. I must say, the house is definately quiet without her here, and I almost feel lost. We had a lot of fun together, as we always do. Some serious shopping, in which I bought a whole lot of stuff, which was on sale. So, I'm pretty happy about that. We watched Over the Hedge, went to Banff and saw the moutains (some pictures of Banff on my flickr account), did some shopping, ran around Calgary, visited Kin Coolie and Police Pointe, she met my friends (and is scared for evermore....just kidding:), we played some serious hockey. It was good.

Now I realized that I need to seriously concentrate on finding an apartment in London, and also starting to pack my stuff up as I am on the last month of my stay in Alberta. Sad thought.

So, I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather - I need to clean my car!
